In then Defensive Driving Course, we focus on how to avoid collisions.
Defensive driving is based on three ideas: visibility, space and communication.
Visibility is about seeing and being seen. You should always be aware of traffic in front, behind and beside you.
Managing the space around your vehicle lets you see and be seen and gives you time and space to avoid a collision.
Communicating with other road users to make sure they see you and know what you are doing.
The Excel Defensive Driving Course is certified by the Canada Safety Council. It is a one-day (6 hr) in-class study program that focuses on seeing dangerous situations before they happen and responding quickly and effectively to prevent them.
