Excel Driving School was founded in 1969. We are a competitive, independent driving school that focuses on student well-being and learning. We strive for the highest quality of teaching and in-car driving instruction.
We are currently looking to hire licensed driving instructors to do in-car training for our students.
This is a contract position and the work requires evening and weekend availability.
Job Description:
As a licensed Ontario Provincial In-Car Driving Instructor you will deliver one-on-on instruction with beginner drivers and provide lessons in preparation for G1 and G license road tests.
Qualifications required:
- Ontario Provincial In-Car Instructor license
- Must provide clean CPIC and/or vulnerable sector check
- Clean drivers abstract
- Access to personal vehicle certified for driving instruction
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends

How to get your Ontario Provincial Instructor License:
PDIO’s MTO approved In-Car Instructor course contains 80 hours of classroom content and 51.5 hours of in-car instruction. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are currently teaching using a Virtual Classroom and offering modified in-car instruction to follow Public Health guidelines.
*All full time courses offered between September 14th, 2020 and December 31, 2020 will be offered online through a Virtual Classroom. The course will be structured as 2 weeks of Virtual Classroom learning and then 2 weeks of in-car instruction will be provided with one of our many instructors throughout Ontario at the conclusion of the two weeks of in-class learning. Hand sanitizer will be available and masks or face coverings must be worn throughout the course.
